Firewire Baked & Sweet Potatoes instore

We are now pleased to offer the new Firewire BAKED POTATO instore at Zak’s.  The Baked Potato offers the same small wave performance as the SWEET POTATO with a few subtle design adjustments. The nose is pulled in slightly and some of the rail volume has been removed to allow for even faster rail to rail transfers. The BAKED POTATO has the same aggressive double concaves and ‘V-spine’ running down the center of the board which allows the board to get up on the rail much faster than the overall design would indicate. Primarily designed for smaller, weaker conditions, the BAKED POTATO will surprise you by its performance characteristics, and how the quad fins set further back and closer to the rail than usual, allow the board to hold with- out sliding, even in larger surf. G Boards instore for summer

This summer we will be stocking a range of G Boards from 6ft to 8ft – perfect for those looking to take the plunge and learn to surf. Safety is definitely important to consider when selecting a first surfboard and these non fibreglass softboards with soft fins are a fantastic choice.  Constructed using closed cell foam – meaning that if the board is punctured or damaged on rocks etc, the foam won’t absorb any water. Using this material eliminates the costly procedure of ding repairs which are an inevitable part of learning to surf.  It also stops the board taking on any additional weight (a troublesome characteristic of many soft surfboards on the market). G Boards tick all the boxes when trying to decide what to purchase starting out. A very reasonably priced choice that is safe & has the performance characteristics to comfortably take you through those learning stages right through to an intermediate surfing level. Check them out instore or online here: https://zaksurfboards.com.au/soft-boards-g-boards/...
