Stacey Machine Head Restock

Stacey Machine Head RestockWe just got a Stacey Machine Head Restock  so there is now in a full size run hanging on our racks here at Zak Surfboards.  Recently added to added to their range – The Stacey Machine Head is Lee Stacey’s update to one of the most popular selling all round shortboards we’ve had in store over the past year – the 5150.  Designed to get the job done in 80% of the conditions the ocean will throw at you – the Stacey Machine Head is a fantastic addition to everyone’s quiver in the right dimensions.  Without doubt, one of the best balanced boards in the shop – put it under your arm and you’ll immediately know what I’m talking about.

Stacey Machine Head Restock Stacey Machine Head Collage 1The Machine Head design features a mid entry rocker for paddle, instant speed off the mark & carry over flatter sections. The outline is super easy on the eye, enough width in the right places and nicely pulled in where it needs to be for all round performance shralping.  This model has a single to double concave bottom with vee running out the tail.   The concaves have been specially tuned in this update from the 5150 to give an even bigger sweet spot.   This new bottom contour also gives this board a nice, safe & settled feeling at high speed and through critical parts of the wave, while still allowing enough lift to make it hold its own in less than ideal conditions.

Stacey Return Of The Jam Model

Stacey Return Of The Jam ModelWe have a full size run of the Stacey Return Of The Jam Model hanging in store on our racks at the moment.  The Stacey Return Of The Jam  or ROTJ is a specialized small wave model designed to motor where other boards struggle.  This model features a fairly flat deck which helps it hold some extra foam that provides more paddle, improved glide and stability under foot.

Stacey Return Of The Jam Model Stacey Return Of The Jam Model Collage 1The bottom contour is a sweet combination of concave for plenty of lift and speed with a decent helping of vee through the tail.  This bottom shape coupled with a fairly flat rocker and  wide tail block means that the ROTJ generates speed  easily in waves with very little push.  The vee through the fins helps with the quicker transitions that small wave surfing requires – making the board easier to roll from rail-to-rail and allowing it to draw tighter arcs on small wave faces .  The Stacey Return Of The Jam Model comes as standard with five fin plugs for versatility and is a very fun board for any level of surfer in the right dimensions.

They are some of the finest small to medium wave high performance boards we have ever seen. And the finish on them is immaculate courtesy of the Glass Lab. There is a lot of love in these boards and Lee Stacey is definitely a shaper on the rise. On top of that, the boys from Stacey are a super cool crew and have made it easy to get these boards in the shop (Thanks to Liam and thanks to Jack Perry for pointing them in our direction!). Check the pic below as well as the video which gives you a bit of insight into the man himself. For more info on the Bounty Hunter or other models in the Stacey range, check here: http://staceysurfboards.com/surfboards/ or ask Damo about the quiver he has got off Lee for Costa Rica.  Do yourselves a favour, get in the store and put one of these babies under your arm.
