The FCS II Reactor PC Carbon is a fin that will significantly tighten the turning circle of your surfboard. The upright template combined with the stiffer Performance Core/ Carbon Fibre construction gives you a positive feeling, quick reacting fin – hence the name
Great for short, peaky waves – you’ll be able to at least add another turn or two to each wave when you have a set of these in your board. Particularly useful in flatter rockered surfboards – if you are finding it hard to draw the arcs you want on a flatter board, these can really help you. Popular with those who like to do tight, snappy maneuvers tight in the pocket of the wave, rather than running out onto the open face to carve big, drawn out arcs.

Another of our most popular selling thruster sets is the FCS II Julian Wilson PG. This medium sized thruster set features a nice medium sized neutral side fin template, with a smaller center fin.
Having a smaller back fin in a thruster set significantly tightens the turning circle of your board – compared to having a thruster set with all fins the same size. The side fins become dominant, making this fin set ideal for snappy short arc turns and releasing the tail.
The fiberglass construction and bigger side fine ensure that you don’t sacrifice drive and speed down the line. The positive yet stable feeling you get from an all glass fin means that you feel solid leaning into you bottom-turns, yet feel lively off the top due to the smaller back fin. Loosen up your board without sacrificing drive with a set of these and feel the difference.

Heading overseas soon and planning on packing more than one board? It would be well worth your while to invest in one of the FCS Double Travel Covers – by far the best travel cover that we stock here at Zak Surfboards.
When it comes to practical design, amount of padding/protection & overall weight, nothing touches these bad boys. Fitting up to 3 boards in one of these without fins, you can head overseas with confidence that you have the best protection available for your precious crafts.
Constructed from top to bottom out of a heat-reflective fabric (Ultra light, durable 1200D polyester and alloy material) and vented in both the nose and tail, you can rest assure that your boards don’t get cooked in transit when you pack them in one of these.
The padded walls of the cover have been cut specifically to match with the curve of surfboard rocker – which means even protection from the nose to the tail of each board you pack.
Super durable, non-corrosive, long-life full length molded PK Delrin zip have been used throughout this bag. There are also internal compression straps to keep your boards in place (meaning that they won’t slide around inside the cover). Internal pocket/nose cones have also been used to help prevent damage to the tip of your board. Ultra padded handles and shoulder straps ensure that any time you have to carry you bag, it will be in as comfortable a fashion as possible.
If that’s not enough, each of these bags comes with an bonus included set of Premium FCS Tie Downs.

The FCS II PC Carbon Tri Accelerator in a Medium size is another of our most popular selling fins at Zak Surfboards. This fast, drivey fin is very complimentary to the wally, long waves that we have in Victoria. These are also a great choice for boards with more tail rocker, or to get a bit more speed & drive out of you everyday shortboard.
Generally speaking for drive, projection & speed down the line many people opt for a more raked fin template. This extra rake in a fin’s shape does make your turning circle larger & more drawn out. The FCS II Accelerator template gives you the speed and projection of a raked back fin while still allowing for a tight turning circle when you put your board on rail.
The key to this extra drive, projection & speed down the line in the FCSII Accelerator is the placement of the fin relative to the finbox. The FCS II Accelerator fin template sits a little further back towards the tail than many of the other fin templates – this further back position = speed & drive (although this can also make a board a bit stiffer & harder to turn). The less raked/more upright shape of the Accelerator means that it’s turning circle is still quite tight. In effect, you get the best of both worlds – extra speed & drive with a tight turning circle.
A touch on the bigger side that many other medium sized fins & the stiffer PC Carbon construction also makes this fin a great choice in bigger surf on your day to day shortboard.

THE LATEST EVOLUTION IN FIN DESIGN COMES WITH A TWIST
The FCS H-3 NEXUS features TRICOIL technology, a dynamic flex pattern that effectively stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions from one turn into the next. This transition between turns is where most surfers struggle to maintain speed. At FCS we believe we’ve solved this problem by designing a fin with a highly efficient template, material stability, minimal drag characteristics, and above all, unparalleled flex properties.
From the moment you ride the FCS H-3 NEXUS you’ll realise this fin has something special. Weather your surfing tight in the pocket or carving on the open face, you can surf confidently knowing all the elements of the fin are working in synergy to deliver the ultimate advantage, more speed. The performance of the H-3 Nexus is seamless; yet quite deliberate in the way it feels. Nexus on test drive in october
